As part of the Watches and Wonders 2024 collection, the Swiss replica watches brand is also introducing two additional top-of-the-line color palettes, inspired by the world-renowned U.S. Navy Strike Fighter Tactical Instructor program, to ensure that these color palettes Color swatches are consistent throughout the design, with the IWC creating a new pair of Pantone reference colors. IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph TOP GUN Edition “Lake Tahoe” and Pilot’s Watch Chronograph TOP GUN Edition “Woodland” both start with a 44.5mm wide zirconium oxide ceramic case in classic Pilot’s watch chronograph style. The entire case is simple in shape and advanced in function, with tapered lugs without chamfers, a clean narrow bezel, and the line’s signature reverse push rod, flanked by a bold bunker top. This basic shape and fully matte case surface retain the military aviation heritage of the TOP GUN series front and center in the image, but the counterfeit IWC reimagines the familiar design with striking new colors.
For this edition of Lake Tahoe, the brand features the newly named IWC Lake Tahoe White as a backdrop, a snow-white hue believed to have been inspired by the winter landscape around Lake Tahoe, which is often seen from Nevada Antiaircraft gun pilots fly over from state bases. To complement this bright base, the IWC replica adorned the crown and thrusters in shiny polished stainless steel, adding a touch of sparkle to this traditionally aggressive matte design. The Woodland, by contrast, takes a more moderate, traditionally militaristic approach. The deep, saturated shades of green in the IWC woodlands reference the green used in U.S. Navy flight suits and give this already purposeful design a more practical edge in the image.
To support this dark case, IWC finished the thruster, crown, and caseback with its proprietary matte black ceramic mix. Due to the total thickness of 15.7mm, the wrists of both models should wear bold logos, and the water resistance of both models is around 60 meters.
For the dials of the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph TOP GUN Edition “Lake Tahoe” and the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph TOP GUN Edition “Woodland”, the fake IWC maintains its standard Pilot’s Chronograph layout. This is especially true of the Lake Tahoe book here, where the familiar rounded Arabic numerals, Flieger hands, bold-printed external minute markers, and blue sub-scales at 6, 9, and 12 o’clock are mixed in a simple Rendered in matte black and case-matched IWC Lake Tahoe White. This is the most intuitive and functional image of the IWC chronograph design, without any of the colorful decorations that usually distinguish limited operating modes. The “Woodland” version, on the other hand, brings a low-contrast military color to the familiar design. The main matte dial face is carefully matched to the IWC Woodland green hue of the case, the IWC side has printed indexes, and a lupin filling, and the dial text is pale sage green in the image. The absence of the harsh brightness that comes with the white dial hardware gives the design a stripped-down military-issue look in the initial photos, which works well with the overall style of the top-of-the-line artillery line.
IWC powers the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph TOP GUN Edition “Lake Tahoe” and the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph TOP GUN Edition “Woodland” through its in-house 69380 automatic chronograph movement. While its layout may have superficial resemblances to the long-serving Valjoux 7750 caliber family, this is a completely bespoke design and a staple of IWC’s chronograph offerings. The 69380 sports column-wheel chronograph drives for a sharper feel in operation, the IWC protects the movement from magnetism with a soft iron inner cage inside the housing. In terms of overall performance, the 69380 is unobtrusive but solid, with 46 hours of power reserve at a 28,800 BPH beat rate. The copy IWC offers unique strap options for both models. For the “Lake Tahoe” edition, IWC opted for a fabric-effect textured rubber strap, which, like the dial printing, is an exact color match to the case. The “Woodland” edition takes a more rugged road, with a nylon textile strap that matches the case lined with rubber.
IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph TOP GUN Edition “Lake Tahoe” and replica IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph TOP GUN Edition “Woodland” feature a bold tone-on-tone colorway that maintains its core ethos while bringing a stylish pair to the popular collection. new look.
