Luxurious Fake Rolex Deepsea 126660 vs Deepsea 116660 Replica
One of the new Rolex replica watches launched at Baselworld in 2022 is an updated version of the Deepsea dive watch. The Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea ref. 126660 now replaces the previous Deepsea ref. 116660; but what exactly has changed with the new model? Today we will compare the new Deepsea 126660 with the Deepsea 116660 and see how it differs after ten years.
Design: Clone Rolex Deepsea 126660 Vs. Deepsea 116660
The fake Rolex Deepsea Ref. 116660 debuted in 2008 and showcased a very large Rolex 44mm Oyster case that was a whopping 17.7mm thick. The size and thickness of the stainless steel case were required to achieve the Deepsea’s impressive water-resistance depth of 3,900 meters – more than 100 times the depth at which anyone can survive! To do so, the case is manufactured using Rolex’s patented Ringlock System, which includes a nitrogen-alloyed steel ring at the center of the case, a helium vent for draining accumulated gases from the watch, a 5.5mm thick domed sapphire crystal, and a steel and titanium caseback.
When the replica Rolex Deepsea Ref. 116660 was first introduced, it featured a black dial in the familiar “Maxi dial” layout with large luminous hour markers, luminous Mercedes-style hands, and a date window at the 3 o’clock position. Note that while Deepsea has a date window, there is no Cyclops magnifier on the sapphire crystal. In 2014, the blue and black gradient D-Blue dial option was added to the Deepsea collection to commemorate James Cameron’s historic solo dive to the deepest depths of the Earth in his Deepsea Challenger submersible.
Like all modern Rolex dive watches for men, the Deepsea replica comes with an Oyster bracelet equipped with an ingenious Glidelock system that allows the bracelet length to be increased by approximately 20mm in 2mm increments. However, the Deepsea also includes Fliplock extension links that allow for an additional 26mm extension.
The new Deepsea ref. 126660 retains the same case dimensions and construction methods as the Rolex ref. 116660, but the lugs have been redesigned to accommodate the newer Oyster bracelet. Deepsea ref. 126660 now features a wider Oyster bracelet (still with two extension systems) than the Deepsea ref. 126660, with 21 mm wide end links. The 116660 has a 20 mm wide-end link. As a result, the Oysterlock spring-loaded safety clasp has also been adapted to the wider bracelet proportions. Like its predecessor, the copy Rolex Deepsea 126660 comes with either a black dial or a “James Cameron” D-Blue dial option.
Swiss ETA Movement: Imitation Rolex Deepsea 126660 vs. Deepsea 116660
While the design modifications to the exterior of the knockoff Rolex Deepsea 126660 are subtle, the new model does feature a new movement – guaranteeing a new reference number. Powering the Deepsea ref. 126660 is the excellent new generation of Calibre 3235, replacing Calibre 3135 for the Deepsea ref. 116660.
With more than 14 patents and 90% new components, the counterfeit Rolex Calibre 3235 has an increased power reserve of 70 hours compared to the 48-hour power reserve of the Calibre 3135. In addition, since 2015, the luxurious Rolex replica has redefined its official top-level chronometer certification label, belonging to the -/+ 2 seconds per day accuracy class. This is twice the accuracy required for an official COSC chronometer.
Ten years after its debut, Rolex has updated its extreme dive watches with just the right touch. The Deepsea replica watch has a wider bracelet and redesigned lugs. The 126660 offers better proportions, while the new Swiss ETA Movement provides the mechanical excellence we have come to expect from Rolex.
